Series of the Week: How to Get Away with Murder

Shonda Rhimes is known for her great works like Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, but I’m here today to let you know about her latest hit show How to Get Away with Murder. How to Get Away with Murder is available on Netflix (Seasons 1 & 2) and Hulu (latest episodes), and each episode is roughly 43 minutes long. The elements of romance, thriller, and mystery are present in this series.

It follows Annalise Keating who is a lawyer and college professor. Her classroom layout is a little different from the typical college class though. She selects about five students to work with her on real court cases which gives them a hands on experience with the judicial system. Things go awry when a student’s body is found on campus, and things become even more complicated when Dr. Keating’s husband’s ends up dead as well. Join Dr. Keating and her bright students as they solve personal and impersonal issues inside the courtroom and out.

Before checking this out though, keep in mind that this is one of the most progressive television programs out right now. This show represents numerous minorities. For example, an African American woman plays the lead role. The shows also depicts a homosexual couple as a real relationship unlike other TV Shows that depict it as comedy relief.

This is not your typical Shonda Rhimes show, but I encourage you to give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Here’s the trailer for Season 1 if you’re really skeptical about checking it out! Until next time…
