Series of the Week: Totally Spies

It’s another throwback for ya!

Cartoon Network had great TV shows in the early 2000s and late 1990s. Totally Spies is one of their most underrated shows ever.

Totally Spies focuses on three teenagers by the names of Clover, Alex and Sam. Clover is the preppy and boy crazy one. Alex is the sporty one, and Sam is the smart one. You have to have balance in a team right?

While dealing with high school problems, these girls work as spies for WOOHP agency. They defend the human race from bad guys all over the world. These villains all have unique ways of taking over the world, but the girls manage to save the day every time.

It’s a nice feel good cartoon with three female leads that solves what may seem like big problems in about 22 minutes.

I will warn you though. This show is very stereotypical (just look at the girls’ personalities) and has horrible graphics (very close to DBZ bad). Don’t expect a deep plot either. There is character development as you progress into the series though. Netflix only has Season 1 until May 2nd though, so watch this show as soon as possible.
